How it works
Three steps, on your device
- 1
Choose the PDFs
They open in the merge tool on this device, and are not uploaded to our servers.
- 2
Put them in order
Drag them, or use the arrows. Add more, or take one out.
- 3
Merge and download
One PDF, every page of every file, in that order. Save it, or share it from your phone.
What merging does
Every page, as it was
Pages are copied whole — text stays text, and nothing is re-compressed or re-drawn.
Your order
Files go in the order of the list, and each file's pages in their own order.
Said before it happens
A file with bookmarks, fillable form fields or accessibility tags is flagged in the list: those belong to the document, not its pages, and the merged file does not keep them.
Free, and private
No account, no limit on how often, and no mark of ours on the result.
Where it does not work
- Up to 50 files and 500 pages, under 50 MiB in all. A phone with little memory may manage less.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are refused; the other files can still be merged.
- A digitally signed PDF’s signature does not survive into the merged file.
Common questions
Before you start
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no limit on how many times, and no watermark added.
Are my files uploaded?
Not to our servers. Your browser reads the files and writes the merged one on your device, and the page that does the work loads no advertising or third-party analytics. We receive only a count of what the tool did — that it ran, and roughly how many files and pages — never the files, their names or their contents. If you choose them on this page, your browser keeps them briefly in its own storage to hand them to the tool, and removes them as soon as the tool opens them. The privacy policy has the details.
What about password-protected PDFs?
They cannot be merged here: the tool refuses that file and keeps the others. The PDF editor can unlock one if you have its password.
What does a merged file not keep?
Pages carry their text, images and drawings, and the merged file keeps all of them. Things that belong to the document as a whole are not carried over: bookmarks, fillable form fields (they still show, but can no longer be filled in), the tags screen readers use, page labels, layers, and links from one page to another. Links to websites are kept.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, on recent iPhone and Android browsers. Very large files are better merged on a computer, which has more memory.
